See it, Be it!

We can't become what we cannot see. As part of our goal to provide our students with a more equitable education, this campaign focused on providing role models that bridge the distance between our student's now and their future.

The See it, Be it sessions brought guest speakers, STEM professionals, to visit our classes virtually and talk about their careers and journeys. This campaign was very intentional highlighting women and POC.

So far, we were able to have two rounds of speakers, one in November and one in January. We are currently working on a third one for May. During these visits, the speakers talked about their journeys, careers, practical applications and even performed a few demos.

Students and teachers enjoyed the presentations very much according to their satisfaction surveys. Also, student's knowledge of STEM careers shows some growth. Next year, we will continue with these sessions for 4th, 5th grade and maybe extend it to 3rd.
